»» Description of the suite
To rent weekly, the suite consists of:
● One bedroom approx. 20m² in size with two beds. This room withholds a chest of drawers, a chest, a corner wardrobe and one fire place. Bedding material is provided and changed during the middle of the stay or possibly more often on request.
● One bathroom measuring 13m² and containing one wash-basin with a unit below, a shower and a toilet. This room can be accessed from the bedroom and is separated by a dressing room and a small corridor. Bathroom towels are provided (but not beach towels).
From this corridor a living room 30m² in size can be accessed.
● In the living room there is a fire place, a book case, a round table (the sort used for games), a sofa, a lamp and two small side tables.
»» 4 terraces and a vegetable garden
Facing the sea there are two adjoining terrases (in enfilade). There are also two others; one linked to the dining room and another more secluded in the garden. The vegetable patch in the garden can also be used 24/7.
During the summer season, you will have the opportunity to pick and taste readily available organic vegetables (tomatoes, peppers, aubergines, green beans, courgettes, cucumbers) that we plant annually in the vegetable garden. In addition there are fresh peaches, apricots and grapes available for your eating pleasure in the vinyard situated close to the villa.

»» Shared rooms : kitchen and dining room
The shared kitchen is only available for preparing breakfast and for laying-out ready-to-eat meals bought from take-aways or local stores. The services of a cook can be booked if you wish to take one or several evening meals in the villa. Rates will be given upon request.
»» Internet by ADSL
The shared dining room has an ADSL connexion for Internet access (1 Mbps). Wifi will be installed in August 2008.
»» TV
TV in the suite broadcasts the standard Greek channels. Shared TV in the dining room broadcasts Swiss-sat.
»» Facilities and Activities available nearby
The distance between the villa and the main village of « Chora » is 1.5km on foot.
A public bus circulates a few times a day between Molos (area in which the villa is located) and Chora. The closest bus stop is at a distance of 200m from the house. It can be found directly in front of the supermarket Molos.
Booat rental (kaiki) with driver (obligatory), car rental will cost approx. 30 euros per day (price given in March 2008). The island is big and there are many beaches and sites to visit. You can engage in activities such as windsurfing, jet-skiing and pedalo at the main beach closest to the house.
»» Access to the island of Skyros
Skyros can be acccessed from Athens via the main route (bus or taxi) or by taking the ferry which leaves from Kymi. The length of the journey is 1 hour 40 minutes on the ferry. The distance between the main port and the villa is about 13km.
Skyros also has an airport used by Olympic Airlines on Wednesdays and Saturdays from Athens and on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Saloniki. A charter leaving from Schiphol also lands once a week during the months of June to September. This information must be checked every year as the charter is not a standard form of transport. There is also an areoclub which can transport you on demand (tel/fax : 00302222091711). The distance between the house and the airport is 10km.

Rest of the year : € 700.- per week (7 days)
Deposit of 30% upon booking. You will then receive additional information about the welcome service on the spot.

»» About Skyros
The island of Skyros was known in the pre-historic Bronze Age, and then became famous during the Trojan war. It was also known for claiming its independence during the Ottoman occupation and the island also acted as a commercial centre between Asia and Europe since the 16th Century.
